4B Farms Horse Sale Barn

Paralotsnickerdoodle - 2006 Bay Tobiano Stallion $2500

Snickers is a beautiful tri color paint with a great temperament. He is easy to work with and loves attention. We have done minimal saddle training with him because we thought he was sold. The sale fell through so we are offering him again. His Dam and his full brother are EXCELLENT jumpers, his full brother cleared a 6 foot fence like it was a walk in the park, his mother jumped a 5 foot fence 3 weeks before she delivered him! He probably would too with a little encouragement, we are not into the jumping events so we have never tried to get him to jump. We may be gelding him very soon because he is quickly figuring out that he is a stallion! If you want him as a stallion call now! For pricing information please contact us, we are negotiable within reason. His registration # is 869,435 and you can see his pedigree at www.allbreedpedigree.com by typing in his registered name listed above his picture.

2008 Colts In Training At Colby Community College

Our 2008 colts went to Colby Community College this month and are beginning their training program. Adam Frisch is the Farm Manager and the Instructor for this class. I will post the updates on their progress as I receive them. For information about the CCC Bull and Horse sale click here--> CCC Annual Bull and Horse Sale

Some of the students came out to the farm today to see where the colts they are working with were raised. We went through pedigrees and background of the stallions and of the mares and discussed temperaments and conformation and how it was passed on to their foals. The students also had a chance to see the 2009 foals and even got to play with the baby goats!

11/05/2009

Today was a beautiful sunny day and the colts worked well. Buck was saddled for the third time today and seems comfortable under saddle. I didn't get to see him work much but did get a couple pictures. I was very impressed with Chigger. She was round penned for the first time today AND saddled for the first time! As you can see from the pictures on the Home page, she acted like it was no big deal. In fact when she was turned loose she acted like it was nap time, just stood calmly looking at us as if to say, "What's the big deal?" These students are doing an excellent job with these colts!

10/18/2009

Mark your calendars! March 27, 2010 will be the date for the Horse & Bull Auction at Colby Community College. The auction will be held at the College Agricultural Center East of Colby. More information on time and early viewing will be available later. I will post the sale flyer as soon as I receive it from the college.

09/22/2009

We put a saddle on Skipper for the first time yesterday. No buck, no stress, just accepted it as though he had been doing it for years! He is one great horse. The others will be saddled soon as well.

09/14/2009

The students have been matched with their horses for the class. Everyone seems very pleased with the colt they received. It should be a very good year. Skipper is definitely showing his Smart Little Lena breeding, he is very catty and extremely smart. Buck is very gentle and willing, Trace was a little reserved at first in the new environment but seems to be settling in. Sonny is a favorite, he loves everyone and obviously wants to please, Chigger is feisty but loves people. Little Miss is a bit more of a hand full but is coming around.

Dillons Golden Jazz - In Training at Colby Community College

Dillons Golden Jazz "Chigger" is going to be a beautiful golden palomino. She is hard to get a good picture of because she likes to be in your pocket all of the time.

She is fast just like her Momma and she is very smart and friendly. She is the first to meet you at the gate and will follow you anywhere. She is very curious and not at all spooky or nervous.

She will be offered for sale at the CCC Horse Auction March 27th. Please contact us for further details.

Dam: - Jazzy - excellent competition mare 2007 Grand Champion in speed events and 3 perfect scores reining.  AND she works cattle or goats! :-)

Sire: RVA Prom Annette Son - See his pedigree on our Stallion page

This was Chigger's first time in the round pen, and the first time she had ever been saddled. As you can see she took to it like an old pro. She showed a little anxiety at first being out on the rail by herself but was soon calm and hooking up well with Adam. She is very smart, inquisitive, and eager to learn.

FB Prominent Breeze - "Little Miss" - In training with Colby Community College

This filly has a nice big heart girth and great hip.  She is fast and very athletic. She loves to run and chase the other colts around the pasture. She will be a beautiful rabicano when she sheds out in the spring with a perfect feminine head and tiny ears. She is getting darker every day and very feisty!  She holds her own against all these boys! She is all wooly and dirty in these pictures but I will try to get better pictures soon.

She will be offered for sale at the CCC Horse Auction on March 27th. Please contact us for details.

Trayce is going to be a nice dark chestnut when he finishes shedding his winter coat.  He has a nice head and a kind eye, good bone structure and a great hip.  He is a friendly, curious guy and very people oriented. He loves to have his neck scratched. He is the last son of Mecca Skippin Sue, we lost her this year and she will greatly missed. She was one of our best mothers and always had beautiful big babies for us.

FB Zips Son Ofa Buck "Buck"- In training with Colby Community College

Buck is going to look a lot like his sire, he's going to have tall black stockings and the only white he has is a cute little snip on his nose.  His pedigree is WAY above average with several champions right on or just off his papers including the legendary Zippo Pine Bar, Jackie Bee, Son Ofa Doc, Doc Bar, Poco Bueno, & Peppy San Badger!  What more can you ask for?? If we didn't already have 3 fantastic stallions we'd be keeping this one!

Buck got bit twice in the face by a rattle snake this winter and we thought we were going to lose him but he is one tough little guy! He couldn't eat for almost 2 weeks and it was almost 5 days before we could even get mush into his mouth with our fingers. He lost over 100 pounds but he pulled through. He is behind the other colts but catching up fast. He has finally shed out and is looking great, this beautiful guy has TONS of potential!

He will be offered for sale at the CCC Horse Auction on March 27th. Please contact us for details.

Dam: Its A Zippy Babe x War Leo Zippo x Zippo Pine Bar out of Scooter's Jackie x Jackie Bee

Sire: RVA Prom Annette Son - see his pedigree on our Stallion page.
